The well-known Taiwanese company specializing in the manufacturing of computing, communications and consumer electronics devices, BenQ has introduced their new V2400W, which the company calls as the world’s slimmest 24-inch widescreen LCD monitor, measuring only 2.44 inches at its thickest point, aiming to target the sophisticated and stylish consumers.
In addition, the BenQ V2400W which is the world’s first glimpse into BenQ’s newly evolved Kinergy Design will feature a 4000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, new RHCM (Rapid Heat Cycle Molding) injection process and full 1080p HD support (1920 x 1200 resolution).

The worldwide leader in digital consumer electronics and information technology, Samsung has announced its new Spinpoint M6, which the company claims as the world’s first 500GB (half-terabyte) 2.5-inch mobile hard drive, consisting of 3 167GB platters that measures only 9.5mm in height.
“Our customers require more and more notebook storage for their data, video and music files”, said Andy Higginbotham, director of hard drive sales and marketing, Samsung Semiconductor. “Our Spinpoint M6 easily fits within notebook PCs with no modification to the notebook PC chassis, giving users more storage power than ever before.”
The Samsung Spinpoint M6 is targeted to meet the growing storage needs of today’s laptop computers as well as slim form factor PCs and high density mobile applications.
According to the company, “The Spinpoint M6 500GB hard drive features a 5400rpm spindle speed, a 8MB cache, and 3.0Gbps SATA interface with a Free-Fall-Sensor available as an optional feature. Perpendicular Magnetic Recording technology enables the 500GB drive to store 160,000 digital images, 125 hours of DVD movies, or 60 hours of high definition video images. The drive also features Samsung’s Flying-on-Demand head technology that improves recording stability over changing temperature ranges.”
Just recently, Asus CEO Jerry Shen has disclosed some of the new features that will be added into its next generation Eee PC notebook. Named as Asus Eee 900, the new machine could be potentially powered by Intel Atom (codenamed Diamondville) that is famous for its low TDP (Thermal Design Power) promoting longer battery life.
The computer accessory market leader, Genius, has introduced its latest innovative so called“buttonless” mouse lately. This unique and innovative product, Traveller 525 Laser, does not have any visible buttons or scroll wheel which the conventional mouse used to has. In stead of clicking the traditional mouse buttons, Genius Traveller 525 Laser, adapted the unique “float to click” design idea which allows users to lightly tip the casing for executing the commands. It gives users a more relaxing mouse click feeling and reduces the tension on their fingers. The traditional scroll wheel has also been replaced with an OptoWheel. OptoWheel features an optical sensor on the mouse’s top which registers the user’s finger movements. Traveller 525 Laser has also taken into consideration on those users who are unable to give up the clicking sensation completely. Two custom buttons have been inserted in the middle of the casing to assist this group of people.
