dreamflyer.jpgPlaying flight simulation games by using a joystick might be a bit boring. It will be more fun if the use of physical motion can be applied in the flight simulation programs. With a motion simulator or motion platform, gamers can enjoy a 3D experience and feel the flying effect. However, an effective motion platform might cost a bomb. You need a huge space with a large projection screen, special equipment, etc. Now gamers have a chance to enjoy a mini motion base with a creative invention for gamers, the Dreamflyer.

The Dreamflyer features a modified Saitek X52 Flight Control system throttle, a joystick (along with rudder pedals), a replica pilot seat in an aluminium frame and a bracket for a single monitor. Gamers can add their own monitor onto the monitor bracket. The 3′ x 6′ compact footprint enables the Dreamflyer to easily fit into your game room or any room in your house. It doesn’t take up a lot of space. Dreamflyer captures the motion based on simple gravitational movements of the chair initiated by the user in response to the views on the screen. By using gravitational force to generate motion, the Dreamflyer™ has eliminated the need for hydraulics and motors, and associated costly maintenance.

The Dreamflyer costs $2,800 (plus taxes). Gamers can also request for a tri-monitor bracket which cost an additional $199 (plus taxes). Enjoy your gaming experience with the Dreamflyer, your personal virtual reality flight motion simulator from www.mydreamflyer.com.

HD (High Definition) TV becomes common in today’s Consumer Electronics world. For those that are not intended to purchase a brand new HDTV but still want to enjoy the great visual experience, now there is an alternative option with the new HD TV box introduced by Asus. The device is claimed to be able to transform your conventional PC monitor into HD screen without a need to spend extra bucks on getting an expensive HDTV.

Known as HDTV Suite-HDMI, the device is empowered by Asus’s famous Hardware Spendid Video Intelligent Technology which allows a display scaling up to 1920 X 1200 high resolutions. Although it is not Full HD 1080 capable, but it is more than enough to satisfy average users that are not get used to real Full HD TV. Besides, the video accelerator engine is able to perform Dynamic flicker Brightness Adjustment, Dynamic Deblocking, Advanced 3D Comb and more which helps to enhance and fine tune the picture quality.

Best thing is, with the PIP (Picture-in-Picture) feature in place, users will be able to do web browsing while watching their favorite programs simultaneously. Amazingly, the device comes with various video input ports such as HDMI, DVI/VGA, S-Video, Composite video and YPbPr that makes it compatible with most of the CE products in the market. Users can even choose to pull in the video source from famous gaming consoles such as Sony PS2 and PS3, Microsoft Xbox 360 and even Nintendo Wii. No pricing and availability has been released yet, but it should not be too expensive since the HD TV’s price has been dropped from time to time.

untitled.jpgWhat option do you have if you want to print some urgent documents while you are traveling? Of course you can go to the Business Centre to do your printing if you stay in a hotel. However, not all hotels provide this service. To overcome printing on the road problem, an alternate solution for travelers or the traveling businessman is to bring a printer around. The new travel printer, Printstik PS950, created by Planon is one of the choices you can consider.

The Prinstik PS950 weights 1.5 pound and over 11” long. The printer is fully self-contained and is considered the smallest printer available in the market. The tiny size makes traveling with Prinstik PS950 easy and convenient. The Printstik PS950 runs on a rechargeable battery and uses custom thermal paper in 20-page cartridges. This small printer supports Bluetooth-enabled devices such as cellphones, digital cameras, laptop, PDA, handheld, etc and allows users to connect it and print wirelessly. The Bluetooth connectivity provides a simple, reliable cable-free printing connection of up to 100 meters (approximately 300 feet).

The printer performs up to three pages a minute at 200dpi. Since the printing process adopts thermal printing technology, users don’t have to worry that there is liquid ink leak in their luggage or laptop bag. However, the printer’s major disadvantage is it only allows users to print in black and white but not colour. The Prinstik PS950 costs around $350 together with a charger and a paper cartridge. Additional three-packs of cartridges cost $13 each online at Planon.
